LIV Golf star Bryson DeChambeau recently played a round of golf with former President Donald Trump, during which they discussed the intense moments leading up to DeChambeau's narrow victory over Rory McIlroy at the U.S. Open.

In an episode of DeChambeau's "Break 50" YouTube series, where he attempts to complete 18 holes in fewer than 50 strokes from the red tees, Trump was the featured guest. Midway through their game, the conversation turned to DeChambeau's final moments at Pinehurst.

Trump asked DeChambeau if he felt nervous about the decisive four-foot putt on the last hole. DeChambeau admitted he was "super nervous." Trump empathized, noting that the pressure was immense, especially after McIlroy missed his closer putt.

Trump remarked that had DeChambeau missed his putt, it would have been "tragic" and he would have been unfairly labeled a "choker" by critics. However, DeChambeau recalled hitting the putt perfectly, knowing it was going in even before it reached the hole.

Reflecting on the moment, DeChambeau explained how he remained calm by focusing on his practice routines. "When I'm in the heat of the moment and over a crucial putt, I think back to my practice sessions," he told Trump. "I focus entirely on my technique and treat it as just another four-footer."

Had he missed the putt, DeChambeau acknowledged it would have been tough to deal with the criticism. However, his ability to channel his practice into performance led him to victory.
