Jon Rahm made headlines again this past Sunday during the LIV Golf Greenbrier event, where he narrowly missed securing back-to-back titles. Rahm lost in a dramatic playoff to Brooks Koepka after both players finished tied at 19-under-par.

During the final round, as Rahm prepared for a critical birdie putt on the par-four 14th hole, a spectator in the crowd shouted, "The Tour misses you, Rahm!" The comment came amid speculation that Rahm might be considering a return to the PGA Tour, just nine months after joining LIV Golf with a record-breaking $600 million deal.

A recent report suggested that Rahm would be willing to return to the PGA Tour if he could refund the money he received from LIV Golf. According to an unnamed insider, "I am 100 percent positive that if Jon could give the money back to the Saudis and come back to the tour, he couldn't write the check fast enough."

Rahm had previously expressed hope for a resolution between the PGA Tour and LIV Golf that would allow players to compete on both tours. "When the PGA Tour and LIV agreement happened, I thought we were definitely coming together. There’s something happening, so at least I owe it to myself to hear what they have to offer," Rahm shared earlier this year.

However, as negotiations between the PGA Tour and the Public Investment Fund of Saudi Arabia continue, no official deal has been finalized. Despite rumors of Rahm’s dissatisfaction with LIV Golf, CEO Greg Norman dismissed the claims. "I read that Jon is unhappy and wants to give back his money. It's just not true," Norman stated. "You speak to Jon's general manager, and it's laughable. I don't understand why there is still division, but we are staying true to ourselves and will keep moving forward."

The situation highlights the ongoing tension between the PGA Tour and LIV Golf, as both organizations navigate their evolving relationship and the future of professional golf.
