Niemann Secures Commanding Victory

Joaquin Niemann capped off an impressive performance with a flawless final-round 65, finishing at 17-under to win LIV Golf Singapore by five shots. The 26-year-old Chilean has now won two of the last three LIV events, marking his fourth career win on the tour — just one behind Brooks Koepka and Dustin Johnson’s record of five wins.

Starting the final round tied with Johnson at 11-under, Niemann quickly pulled away with five birdies on the first eight holes. Meanwhile, Johnson stumbled with bogeys on the 6th and 7th holes, opening the door for Niemann to take control.

Brooks Koepka, who carded six birdies on the front nine, looked poised to challenge Niemann but couldn’t maintain momentum on the back nine. Niemann sealed the win with a steady back nine, including a birdie on the 12th, finishing five strokes clear at 17-under.

Koepka closed with a 65 to take solo second at 12-under, while Ben Campbell’s 67 earned him third place at 11-under. David Puig finished fourth at 10-under after shooting 66.

Johnson struggled to a final-round 73, finishing tied for fifth at 9-under alongside Sebastian Muñoz (70), Louis Oosthuizen (67), Cameron Tringale (70), and Jon Rahm (67).

Niemann’s victory adds to an already impressive 15-month run, during which he has claimed six wins worldwide. His current form positions him as a strong contender for The Masters in April, despite never having secured a top-10 finish in 22 major starts.

Fireballs Secure Third Straight Team Victory

In the team competition, Sergio Garcia’s Fireballs GC continued their dominance with a score of 22-under, finishing three shots ahead of Rahm’s Legion XIII. Johnson’s 4Aces GC secured third place.

Garcia’s team, consisting of David Puig, Abraham Ancer, and new addition Luis Masaveu, has now won three consecutive team events, following victories in Adelaide and Hong Kong.

Niemann’s individual triumph and the Fireballs’ team success underscore their growing dominance on the LIV Golf circuit.
