The 2024 Alfred Dunhill Links Championship has drawn attention with 14 LIV Golf players joining the field, despite most not being DP World Tour members. Notable players like Rory McIlroy, Jon Rahm, Tyrrell Hatton, and Brooks Koepka are set to compete alongside LIV golfers.

Koepka received a special invite, while Rahm and Hatton are appealing DP World Tour sanctions, allowing them to participate. Other LIV players, such as Patrick Reed, qualified through recent tournament performances, and several, including Louis Oosthuizen and Talor Gooch, were invited by the tournament’s chairman, Johann Rupert.

Rupert, a proponent of golf unity, used his influence to include top players from both tours, showcasing a possible future where LIV and DP World Tour golfers regularly compete together.
