As the PGA TOUR season nears its climax, only two events remain before the prestigious three-event FedExCup Playoffs. This week, all eyes are on the 3M Open at the stunning TPC Twin Cities just outside Minneapolis. The top 70 players after the Wyndham Championship will qualify for the Playoffs, making this week’s tournament crucial for those on the bubble.

Last Chance for Qualifiers

Four coveted spots in the 3M Open are up for grabs through Monday’s 18-hole qualifier at Victory Links Golf Course in Blaine, Minnesota. A sudden-death playoff will be held if necessary to break ties.

Field of Competitors

The qualifying field features a diverse mix of experienced professionals and rising stars. Seasoned players like William McGirt, Robert Streb, and D.J. Trahan will compete alongside newcomers such as recent University of Missouri graduate Jack Lundin, who narrowly missed out on PGA TOUR Americas membership, and 2020 U.S. Amateur winner Tyler Strafaci. Additionally, Larry Blatt, a former financial trader turned full-time professional golfer, adds an intriguing narrative to the competition.

Looking Ahead

The four successful qualifiers will join a field of elite golfers at the 3M Open, taking place from Thursday to Sunday. This tournament provides a final opportunity for players to secure their spot in the FedExCup Playoffs and continue their quest for glory.
